Drishti Yoga Centre - Yoga Retreat 2012 Title

Join Lisa Messina, certified Yoga and Pilates instructor and founder of Drishti Yoga, along with a fine group of adventurous yogis for the 2nd annual yoga retreat to Costa Rica’s exotic Nicoya Peninsua from March 3-10, 2012.

Step out of your routine and enter an oasis where paradise and yoga unite to create an unforgettable energy.

Anamaya Resort, situated on a cliff’s edge with incredible ocean views, provides a stunning setting to recharge, reconnect and take your practice to another level.

The Nicoya Peninsula has been named one of the world’s Blue Zone areas – one of five places in the world where people live the healthiest and longest. Montezuma is located on the southern tip of the peninsula on the pacific ocean. Anamaya is a short hike away from epic waterfalls surrounded by tropical rain forests proven to be one of many most memorable moments. The local beach town is a short walk downhill and popular beach towns such as Mal Pais and Santa Teresa are only 25 minutes away.

Enjoy waking up to the sounds of monkeys rustling in the trees and tropical birds singing away. Maybe catch the sunrise peeking up over the horizon while lounging with some freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee, take a morning dip in the salt-water infinity pool or choose to sprawl onto the yoga deck to soak in some sun before morning practice. Morning classes will include discussions, fun-filled and creative vinyasa flow practice, pranayama and meditation, all on the yoga deck with a view that will naturally heighten your awareness and infuse you with vibrational energy. Late afternoon workshops will include Traditional Pilates, Contact Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Freeing the Breath and more.

Drishti Yoga Centre - TestimonialAnamaya is Sanskrit for good health and wellness which is the true focus of this retreat. Nourishing organic, gourmet, aqua-vegetarian meals with gluten free options are served three times daily and an option for our group to go into town for  lunch to enjoy local cuisine is always recommended.
